A D&D® resource
|
|
I have created a few FileMaker databases which have prooved fairly invaluable to me. However, you will need a current (7.x) version to view the databases and I am not revealing the back-end at this time. Please do use these in your campaigns and share them with friends. Please do not re-distribute them and sell them. Thank you. D&D is a 'rules relaxed' system, there are plenty of places to override a pre-set number. In many cases you can simply click in the box where the number is visible and change it, but in others there is usually a 'misc' heading for modifications.
Character Sheets I have some 'generic' data entries which I'll make available from time to time. For instance I have entered most of the spells from the basic books so wizards, priests and the like can have a quick reference.
Creatures This database is empty, but I will be posting the creatures I've entered in already at some point. If you use this and enter in your own creatures, please consider dropping them my way so I can add them here and use them myself - thanks!
World Building This section is very much a work in progress, so suggestions are welcome. I've found it to be important to break things down by date as much as anything else. For instance I start a campaign in a certain area and make my notes and setup the region. Then the adventuring party comes in and kills off my villan, and maybe usurps the local government. Obviously if I place an adventure here later (maybe with a different group of players) I want to know what the new situation is. In most cases it'll be similar to the old one. This section can take the most time and paperwork. Most DMs do not bother with the effort - they keep it all in their head. I find it nice to have some material on paper, particularly when I revisit a region. I have less to re-create. Still, the forms are loosely structured and can be used as much or as little as a DM wishes. |
